Project Overview
JL Electric was commissioned to deliver a comprehensive electrical design and installation for the recently renovated Little Greene Paint & Wallpaper retail space in Nice. The project required a considered approach to lighting and functionality, ensuring that both the aesthetic and practical requirements of the store were met to a high standard.
Scope of Works
A key feature of the project was the design and installation of a bespoke track lighting system across the ceiling. This system was carefully positioned to enhance the visual merchandising strategy of the store, particularly the geometric display of paint samples along the walls. The directional lighting allows each shade to be accurately perceived, highlighting subtle tonal variations and enabling clients to fully appreciate the depth and richness of the colour palette.
In addition to the feature lighting, JL Electric implemented tailored display lighting solutions throughout the space, ensuring consistency and clarity across all product areas. The central island, designed as a focal point for browsing paint and wallpaper collections, is illuminated by an overhead imitation skylight. This innovative lighting feature replicates natural daylight conditions, allowing customers to observe how colours shift and respond under different atmospheric tones—an essential consideration in the paint selection process.
Power was also strategically brought to the till point and work desk, ensuring seamless day-to-day operation for staff.
Outcome
The result is a refined and highly functional retail environment, where lighting plays a central role in both enhancing the customer experience and supporting the brand’s emphasis on colour precision and quality.
